LANC Remote Control V1.4

Don't keep taking the camcorder in and out of your pack. Use our LANC remote control. Our one-button remote control works with any LANC-equipped camcorder. Functions include power on/off, record, stop, and pause.

NOTE: If you use a Canon Camcorder or if you have a Sony camcorder with a mechanical VCRCameraMemory mode switch, choose V1.4. If you have a Sony camcorder with a push-button VCRCameraMemory mode switch choose V1.6.

There's really only one new model camcorder that we would recommend. It's the Sony DCR-HC96. It works with our cameras and our LANC V1.6 remote. It's a miniDV tape, so it will hold up to the abuse.

Most other new models either don't record from an external source or are HDD or DVD based. Both these types of "spinning media" will give you problems with vibrations and such.
